It’s Etched in Stone: Meet Bobo — the pup who stole our hearts

Last week’s column opened with my adorable puppy, Bobo, taking me for daily walks. That topic, however, did not remain centered upon Bobo. Instead, it involved a time when both puppies and their favorite little boy or little girl counterparts were allowed to roam freely.
Today’s episode will take us back to Bobo. Twelve years ago, this coming Easter, was when that pup first captured our hearts. Bobo came to us as a very unexpected Easter gift from our oldest daughter. At that time, she was living in a small apartment, which was partitioned off from a mansion-styled home on the outskirts of Hopwood.
Her landlord had stipulated that there would be no pets allowed. However, being the free-willed lady she had become, she had other ideas. Being offered a newly born mixed breed puppy she jumped at the opportunity, accepted the pup, and sneaked him into his new home without immigration papers.
For several weeks she succeeded in secretly getting her newly acquired pet in and out of her apartment. As the days progressed into weeks she found that her secret would soon be revealed.
She believed her landlord may have heard the pup’s evening cries and was suspect over the tiny basket she carried in and out of the house.
