Don W. Bialon – Rostraver Township

Don W. Bialon, 75, of Rostraver Township, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 30, 2024, in Allegheny General Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born in Charleroi on May 4, 1948, son of the late Frank A. and Helen Povich Bialon. Don was Russian Orthodox by faith. He had boxed for the Charleroi Athletic Club and was a member of the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity at California State College. He was a member of the Boilermakers Union Lodge No. 154. Don earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Krakow in Poland. After 30 years of service, Don was retired from Mercy Health Systems and Trinity Health Network. Don served his county honorably in the United States Army and the Army National Guard and had been stationed at Fort Polk, La. Surviving are his sister-in-law, Alice Sepesky Bialon; nephews, Aaron Bialon, Jason and wife Alta M. Bialon and Franklin L. Bialon Jr.; great-nieces and nephews, Natalie, Jason Jr., Ava, Alta E. and Samuel Bialon; his aunt, Dolores Povich Ostetrico; and numerous cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Franklin L. Bialon. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 4, 2024. Funeral services will be held at Holy Resurrection Russian Orthodox Church of Belle Vernon at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2024, with Father Stephan Gresh officiating.
