Police, firefighters rescue hawk from Charleroi building

Passersby in Charleroi had a bird’s-eye view Tuesday of a hawk that found its way into the window display of an abandoned building along McKean Avenue. Fire Chief Robert Whiten Jr. said they were contacted by Charleroi Regional Police Tuesday afternoon asking for assistance with an unusual call.
