Glenda Sue Brewer, 77, of Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2023, in her home surrounded by her family. A daughter of the late Glenn and Mary Ann Kostelac McKee, she was born in North Charleroi on March 9, 1946. Born and raised in Belle Vernon, Glenda spent 13 years in Birmingham, Ala., later returning to Belle Vernon where she resided for the past 27 years. She had been employed by Mon Valley Hospital as a medical transcriptionist, retiring in 2016. Glenda loved cooking, car rides in the fall season, and riding to Chambersburg to get peaches with her husband. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, David Brewer; three sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Candace Sargent of Birmingham, Ala., William Brewer and his fiancée, Melissa Stilley of New Eagle and Jason and Daphne Brewer of North Charleroi; three grandchildren, Theo Brewer of Perryopolis, Roxanne Brewer of Belle Vernon and Asher Brewer of Donora; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and James Booley of Washington Township, Deborah and Michael Donaldson of Dunlevy and Mary Joan Buerlen of Fayette City; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debbie Larew of Uniontown, Nancy and Tim Matsick of Belle Vernon and Scott and Tricia Brewer of Belle Vernon; her mother-in-law, Mary Lou Brewer-Kalakewich of Belle Vernon; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sidney Pawsby. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Sarah Brewer; a sister, Barbara Povrzanich; and a sister-in-law, Pamela Pendland. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300, www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.  A blessing will begin at 5 p.m. with Father Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
