Washington County: DeMarco-Breeden challenges DA Walsh

In Washington County, the race for district attorney features an incumbent who took over after former DA Gene Vittone passed away in 2021 and a deputy district attorney who serves in Somerset County. Republican Jason Walsh, 52, has worked in the Washington County District Attorney’s office since 2016 and became DA after Vittone’s sudden passing. Democrat Christina DeMarco-Breeden, 37, is a Somerset County deputy DA and works as a Court-Appointed Guardian ad Litem in Washington County.
