St. Stephen’s Episcopal celebrating 150 years

Nobody is turned away at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in McKeesport — even groundhogs. That welcoming spirit is a cornerstone of the institution’s perseverance. A few months ago, a groundhog frequently hung out around the exterior of the church digging holes and eating berries. The folks at St. Stephen’s lovingly refer to their furry friend as Stephen or Stevie. “Everybody’s welcome, even the critters,” parishioner Ed Seddon said.
