McKeesport refunds approved

McKeesport Area School District taxpayers have been expecting a refund check, and Tuesday night’s board meeting got them closer to that money. The school board voted to approve the issuance of a refund to taxpayers due to a miscalculation involving Homestead-Farmstead Exclusion Act 50. However, amid ongoing financial woes, there are board directors and district stakeholders who are concerned the refunds may be issued improperly or with the wrong amount.
