Monessen: Help from Pirates sought to install new batting cages

Councilman Don Gregor has been trying for some time to bring batting cages to Monessen’s Shawnee Park, where youth softball teams play. At this month’s meeting, Gregor said he’s been working with city Administrator Mike Korposh on a grant application with Pirates Charities’ Fields for Kids’ program.
