Schoolhouse grand reopening today

The Rostraver Historical Society will hold the grand reopening of the newly renovated 1830 Concord one-room subscription school at 6:30 p.m today. The presentation will take place at the Concord School, which is next to Concord Methodist Church at 206 Old Schoolhouse St. in Rostraver Township, near Cedar Creek Park. Attendees will learn what it was like to go to school in 1830 in Westmoreland County. Everyone is advised to bring a chair, as the meeting will be held outdoors. If there is inclement weather, the rain date will be 5 p.m. July 22.
