Six-day bicycle journey
Karen Wolff, Deborah Nash and her husband, Terry Nash, of Chattanooga, Tenn., rode their bicycles by the West Newton Visitor Center on the Great Allegheny Passage Friday afternoon. It was the first day of their planned six-day trail riding adventure from Pittsburgh to Washington, D.C. The Great Allegheny Passage Conservancy is planning a “Great Day on the GAP!” inaugural fundraising event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 10 at nearby Cedar Creek Park. The event will feature food vendors, beer trucks, live music and a raffle with auction baskets. Ticket information is available at gaptrail.org/2023-great-day-on-the-gap.
