Washington County: Crowded field in primary race for commissioner

When Washington County Commissioners Chair Diana Irey Vaughan announced last month that she wouldn’t seek an eighth term, residents knew the board of commissioners would look new next year. How different it will look could be decided in the May 16 primary as there are three Democrats and six Republicans squaring off to win two nominations per party to battle it out for the final three spots in November’s general election.
