Big third quarter leads Jaguars over Connellsville

At this stage in the high school basketball season, young teams are hoping to see positive strides. On Monday night, the Connellsville girls team did take some steps forward, but the Falcons didn’t quite put a full game together, and it showed in a 66-40 loss to Thomas Jefferson in a Section 3 (5A) game at Connellsville High School. “We basically took the third quarter off, but we scored 40 points, and that’s good for us,” Connellsville coach Shawna Little said. “When you play any team in our section, you can’t take a quarter off and the scoreboard reflected that.”
