Naomi Outreach hosts year-end holiday luncheon
Jenn Codeluppi / Mon Valley Independent
Naomi Outreach had its final gathering of the year Wednesday afternoon at the Clubhouse Grille at Cedarbrook Golf Course in Rostraver Township. Naomi Outreach started in the early 1990s by Joni Kelley in an effort to show compassion and caring for others, especially veterans. Kelley thanked the more than 30 women in attendance for a great year of giving, which included teddy bear donations for children in need, two veterans’ luncheons and monetary donations to various outreach organizations. Keyboardist Jimmy Sykes of West Newton played Christmas music and Sue Garland of City Mission in Washington played sang and played guitar. Shown are Marge Talarico of Monessen, Cathy Maiolini of Rostraver Township and Rosina Volpe of Monessen chatted before lunch.
