Lamenza’s two goals lift Jaguars

With a primarily young lineup, the Connellsville girls soccer team is using each game to try to build toward bigger and better things.
On Wednesday, Connellsville coach Jeff Puskar saw some good things from the Falcons, but despite the positives, Connellsville still came up on the short end.
Natalie Lamenza scored a goal in each half and Emma Martinis tallied a late first-half marker to lead Thomas Jefferson to a 3-0 win over the Falcons in a Section 2-3A match at Connellsville Stadium.
Although the Falcons didn’t generate any goals and less than a handful of shots in the game, Connellsville (0-3, 0-2) managed to play on relatively even terms with the Jaguars territorially in the first 40 minutes.
