Monessen officials defend equipment purchases

Monessen’s former administration moved city offices into the former Community Bank building next door after mold was discovered last summer and now officials are looking for ways to keep the old building from becoming a problem. Mayor Ron Mozer wants to purchase a dehumidifier to begin getting control over the moisture in the building in hopes of eventually giving the space new life rather than letting it become blighted.
