Michael T. ‘Pork’ Cislak – New Eagle

Michael T. “Pork” Cislak, 61, of New Eagle, passed away on Jan. 22, 2022, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital after a breakthrough case of COVID-19. He was born Aug. 28, 1960, the son of the late Henry and Louise Podesta Cislak. Michael graduated from Ringgold (Monongahela Campus) in 1978 and after graduation he began working for the Local Painters Union as a structural steel painter. Pork enjoyed playing bingo, especially in New Eagle, Lock 4 and Stockdale. An avid Steelers fan, he enjoyed going to Pirates games and once was a Penguins season ticket holder and had played softball in the former bar leagues around the Valley. Mike is survived by five brothers, Mark “Flugs” Cislak of New Eagle, Vince (Carla) Cislak of Monessen, Richard Cislak of Alabama, David Cislak of Virginia and Donald Cislak (Cherie Colucci) of Finleyville; four sisters, Pamela (Alex) Moreschi of Ohio, Sandra (Dennis) Butler of Monongahela, Barbara Gibson of Virginia and Blanche Caseber of New Eagle; his close friend, Shawn Coulter; and his lovable companion dog, Duke; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his brother-in-law, Archie Caseber, who died Dec. 7, 2020. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, where a service will begin at 6:45 p.m. with Deacon Al Poroda officiating.
