Christopher ‘Fred’ Polaski – New Eagle

Christopher “Fred” Polaski, 57, of New Eagle, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born Jan. 6, 1964, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Judy A. Trunzo Polaski. After graduating in 1982 from the former Mon Valley Catholic High School, Chris started working as a mechanic. For the past 20 years, he worked at Rotolo’s Motors in North Charleroi. Chris enjoyed hunting and gardening and was known for making his special “hot sauce.” He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela, where he was a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus. Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Anthony (Vickie) Polaski of New Eagle and David (Billie Jo) Polaski of Monongahela; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara (Charles) Salvitti of Mohntown, Pa. and Beth (Mike) Tesznar of Monessen; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Bryan and Breanne Hecklick of Rostraver Township and William and Katie Hecklick of Ben Avon; two grandchildren, Bryce and Brielle Hecklick; an aunt and uncle, Joan and Rick Trunzo of New Eagle; nieces and nephews, Michael and Megan Salvitti, Samantha and Patrick Polaski and Alec Tesznar. Preceding him in death was his wife, Barbara D. Polaski, who died June 29, 2021. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021. Blessing prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish with Father Kevin Dominik as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Carroll Township. Contributions can be made in Chris’s name to either the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
