Trax Farms will alter fall festival

An annual fall festival in Finleyville will look slightly different this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each year, Trax Farms hosts a fall festival — and dozens of other seasonal events — that attract residents from throughout the Pittsburgh region.
The fall festival, which takes place from September through October, offers residents a chance to pick their own pumpkins, bring the family on a hayride, or let kids enjoy fresh apple cider before jumping in the bounce house or taking a ride down a giant slide.
This year, the pandemic has forced the farm to modify the tradition. Instead of a fall festival, Trax Farm will offer Harvest Days.
The event will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from Sept. 21 through Oct 31 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1.
To adhere to safety precautions due to the pandemic, guests are asked to spend at least an hour on the hill following hayrides to accommodate as many customers as possible.
Tickets are $10 and include a hayride, access to a three-acre corn maze, farm animals and a pumpkin patch. Pumpkins are not included in the ticket price. Children under 2 years old get in free.
