Still no meetings in Forward Twp.

Forward Township supervisors haven’t met in public since the pandemic began in March and they have no plans to get together soon.
While other municipalities have been hosting Zoom meetings, the Forward supervisors have opted to operate under emergency provisions only.
“We decided to go this route because we didn’t want to endanger residents or our staff,” said Supervisor Dave Magiske. “The best way to do that was to limit contact by closing the municipal building to the public. It’s caused a little bit of difficulty, but we felt it was worth it.”
Magiske said the supervisors remain accessible to the public and are carrying out all essential services.
“I get a lot of emails and a lot of telephone calls and we handle things that way,” Magiske said. “It’s perhaps not the most efficient way to do things, but they are getting done. All three supervisors are willing and do answer the phone. We’re very accessible to the public. People know that and they have no hesitation at all to call us up.”
