Area students to perform in Pittsburgh holiday concerts

Allegheny County’s Holiday Music Program, which has been a tradition for 52 years, will return this year.

Participants will include students who study music at two Mon Valley-based high schools.

The program will run from Tuesday through Dec. 19 with two performances each weekday — one at 11:30 a.m. and the second at 12:20 p.m.

Twenty-seven local choirs, orchestras and bands are participating in this year’s program.
