A number of local products have had a significant impact on the field at Adamson Stadium this fall.
Cal U wide receivers JaQuae Jackson (Serra Catholic) and Derek Lockhart (South Allegheny) have received playing time on offense and special teams, respectively, while offensive lineman Marc Gibson (Monessen) has played in all nine of the Vulcans’ games this season.
Jackson, a former standout for head coach Jose Regus and the Eagles, has played in seven games this season, making 12 catches for 180 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The redshirt freshman compiled a career-high four receptions against Edinboro Sept. 28 and is coming off a career game against Slippery Rock on Saturday.
In a slim 31-28 loss, Jackson brought in three receptions for a career-high 67 yards and a 21-yard touchdown grab that tied the game with 1:14 remaining.
