A member of the Mon Valley Sewage Authority submitted a letter of resignation in early September, but two board members won’t vote to accept it.

A motion was made at Thursday’s meeting to accept the resignation of George Shusta. Board members Yancey Taylor and Catherine Tucker voted to accept it and members Paul Berardelli and Lewis Marraccini voted no.

Marraccini said he wouldn’t vote to accept a resignation when he hadn’t seen the resignation letter.

Board secretary Amy Naulty said during Thursday’s meeting she included Shusta’s resignation letter in the board members’ packets for last month’s meeting.
