Activity will resume soon at the Pleasant Hills Roller Hockey Rink at Pleasant Hills Boulevard Park.

Due to an issue with the previous asphalt surface, the rink had been closed for two weeks.

According to Pleasant Hills Public Works Superintendent Jamie Smith, a plastic, floating surface called Sport Court has been installed over the asphalt.

“The existing asphalt was expanding and contracting,” Smith said. “There was a concern over someone getting injured on the old surface. We wanted to be proactive and put the new surface in before anyone got hurt.”
