16th annual Ducoeur Walk set for Oct. 12

The 16th annual Monongahela Valley Hospital/Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk is expected to draw another large crowd this year.
Set for 10 a.m. Oct. 12, registration will begin at 9 a.m. with an opening ceremony at 9:45 a.m.
The walk will tentatively begin at 10 a.m., followed by food, music, dancing and vendors at the Market House.
One of the biggest annual fundraising walks in the Mon Valley, the event attracts hundreds of walkers and runners to the Magic City every year.
The 1- or 2-mile fun walk supports the prevention, early detection and treatment of breast cancer in the community at Monongahela Valley Hospital in Carroll Township.
