At a special meeting Monday, the Ringgold School Board rescinded action it took at a meeting last week to sell district property known as the Race Track.
The board had accepted a bid of $72,000 for the property at its Sept. 18 meeting, but the high bidder defaulted on the purchase, Superintendent Megan VanFossan said Monday.
The Race Track is a former soccer field located on Park Avenue.
The board voted to put the property up for auction once again, with a reserve price set at $50,000.
