California Riverfest set for Saturday and Sunday

This weekend, the annual California Riverfest will return to the borough, bringing with it family friendly entertainment, live music, more than 50 food and craft vendors and, new this year, a car cruise.
“The idea is to bring the community back and to give the community something to do before public school starts and also the university starts,” said California Borough Recreation Authority member Michelle Kinsey.
The festival will take place from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
A firefighters’ parade will start at 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
