Those are just three of the more notable WPIAL baseball products over the past 15 years.
Mark Black.
That’s the name of the next big thing in WPIAL baseball.
“There have been some great players in the WPIAL that I’ve seen through the years, including Neil Walker and Brendan McKay, but It’s tough to compare because those guys played different positions,” said Serra Catholic head coach Brian Dzurenda, who has been at the helm of the Eagles for over 20 years.
“When it comes to right now, I think (Mark) is the best pure hitter in the WPIAL.”
