Warriors ready to joust with the Knights

Quite some time has passed since second-seeded Elizabeth Forward and No. 3 Knoch last endured the agony of defeat.
The Warriors (15-3) were on the losing end of a game against Mt. Pleasant March 28, while the Knights (17-1) were previously defeated by Boyle County (Ky.) in a tournament in Pigeon Forge, Tenn. April 5.
The two teams – both of whom won section titles with unblemished records – meet at 3 p.m. today in a Class 4A semifinal at Gateway High School.
With an appearance in the WPIAL championship game up for grabs, something has to give.
