Several Belle Vernon Area High School students are facing potential disciplinary action following an incident involving alcohol at a charity event Friday.
Charleroi Regional police Chief Eric Porter said Monday that one of the department’s officers, who is one of two regularly stationed at Charleroi schools, will be citing an unknown number of students ages 18 and younger for underage drinking.
Police were made aware of the incident while working at Relay for Life Mon Valley at Charleroi Area Elementary School.
Across the nation, Relay for Life events are the signature fundraisers for the American Cancer Society.
