A West Newton woman accused of setting a pickup truck on fire has been ordered to stand trial in Westmoreland County Court.

Marian L. Warman, 19, appeared Monday before Magisterial District Judge Charles Christner in Rostraver Township.

She waived her right to a preliminary hearing on charges of arson – danger of death or bodily injury, reckless burning or exploding – places/property having value that exceeds $5,000, arson endangering property – reckless endangerment of inhabited buildings, terroristic threats and simple assault.

West Newton police charged Warman after she was found around 5:30 p.m. April 6 in the backyard of John L. Palamara’s South Sixth Street home, where the fire was reported, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
