Defending state champs pick up first win

Bobby Boyer finished with a pair of hits and drove in a run to lead Ringgold to a 4-0 nonsection victory over Steel Valley Monday afternoon.
The win is the first of the year for the Rams (1-2), who struck first in the opening frame on a two-out triple by Boyer that scored Travis Drusbasky to make it 1-0.
After Dylan Wujcik singled to score Boyer, the Rams got another run in the inning on an error by Steel Valley (1-4).
Ringgold scored its fourth and final run in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Chase Angotti.
