On Monday afternoon, Thayne Lawrence was shown a copy of the upcoming state championship wrestling bracket for the Class 2A 160-pound weight class.
Lawrence took nothing more than a quick glance at the match-ups, knowing that in order for him to accomplish his goal, it doesn’t really matter who lines up in front of him.
The Frazier High School junior will be looking to become a back-to-back state champion when the three-day PIAA Class 2A Wrestling Championships begin on Thursday morning at Giant Center in Hershey.
“I’m just looking to take it match by match and period by period and I’ll try to score as many points as possible,” Lawrence said.
