Friday night’s game against Canon-McMillan was nearly a disastrous playoff tuneup for the Ringgold boys basketball team.
But following the Rams’ 59-47 loss on senior night to the Big Macs, head coach Phil Pergola wasn’t upset in the slightest.
“I’m not upset at all because we lost,” Pergola said. “We have two exhibition games for a reason. I couldn’t have asked for a better second half. They fought back and we played really hard. That’s all I could ask for.”
The Big Macs rolled out to a 41-15 lead at the half thanks to an aggressive, attacking offense and 11 first-half turnovers for the Rams.
